Bathing Your Dog With The Booster Bath

to remove something the dog got into such as gum or from products
around the house. Its best to remove the substance and related
matting before it causes skin irritation or creates a sore spot
that causes your dog to scratch these areas due to discomfort.
Finding a place to bath your dog without making a mess can be
challenging. When bathing your dog outside you don't want to create
a mud puddle. Nor do you want to give your dog chills while bathing
him in the cold water from the garden hose.
Some people do not like the idea of bathing their dog in the family
bath tub. .Cleaning up wads of dog hair and removing tub scum left
by the dog, is a job no one in the house wants to do. Some family
members may be unnecessarily concerned about bacteria left in the
family tub after bathing the dog in it. It may just feel unsanitary
to them. Another option is to take the pet to the groomer and let

your dog has active fleas on its body)
During the bath especially the first time it is important to not
startle the dog at the beginning of the bath by spraying a burst of
water into his face. You don't want to induce any new anxiety's
relating to bath time. Its best to start with a gentle flow
towards their feet. Allow the dog some time to acclimate to the
water temperature and force. Allow the dog to get use to the sounds
of the water. All of this will make bath time easier.
Be sure to read the directions before using the conditioner. Some
conditioners need to be rinsed out well . Just like some shampoos,
conditioner left on the scalp can cause irritation to the dogs
skin. Other conditioners are what is called the leave-in
kind. It's not necessary to rinse them out and they do their job
well.
Drying Your Dog
After the bath it is important to rinse the shampoo out thoroughly.
Residue from the product can cause irritation to your dogs skin..
Use a towel to dry your dog. Try to absorb as much water as you can
from the dogs coat (avoids chills and shaking) Depending on your
dogs coat you have to consider if rubbing is the right way to dry
your dog or is it better to dry the dog by patting to avoid
creating tangles. A great product I've seen advertised on TV is a
towel that is supposed to be able to absorb up to twenty times
it's weight in water. Their great for anytime your dog gets wet. (
Next time I see the commercial I will write down the name and the
price of the towels and let you know more about them.
